2021 Cheez-It Bowl odds, picks: Clemson vs. Iowa State selections from advanced computer model for Wednesday's bowl game

The SportsLine Projection Model, which is up almost $3,600 over the past five-plus years, has simulated the 2021 Cheez-It Bowl matchup between the Clemson Tigers and Iowa State Cyclones 10,000 times

Teams looking to put disappointing regular seasons behind them meet when the Iowa State Cyclones battle the No. 19 Clemson Tigers on Wednesday. This will be the first-ever meeting between the schools. Kickoff from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., is set for 5:45 p.m. ET.

The Tigers are two-point favorites in the latest Clemson vs. Iowa State odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over-under for total points scored is 45. (See the latest college football lines for all of this week's games on our college football odds page.)

Before making any Clemson vs. Iowa State picks or college football predictions, you need to see what the SportsLine Projection Model has to say.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated a stunning profit of almost $3,600 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. It also entered the third week of the 2021-22 college football bowl season on a 43-30 run on all top-rated college football side picks. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows the Tigers, who need just one more win to secure their 11th consecutive 10-win season, are led by sophomore quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei. Uiagalelei has thrown for 2,059 yards and nine touchdowns, and has a rating of 108.7. He is also the third-leading rusher on the team, carrying 99 times for 296 yards (3.0 average) and four touchdowns. He is one of only 13 quarterbacks in Clemson history to record at least one 300-yard passing game and is one of only seven to have multiple 300-yard passing games. He is only two 300-yard games shy of tying his position coach, Brandon Streeter, for fifth all-time.

The model also knows the Cyclones are led by senior quarterback Brock Purdy, who owns or shares 32 school records. He ranks fourth nationally in completion percentage (73.1) and led the Big 12 Conference in both passing (248.7 yards per game) and total offense (267.3). For the season, Purdy finished with 18 touchdowns and a rating of 153.6. He is the Cyclones' career leader in overall quarterback wins (30-15) and QB wins vs. Big 12 regular-season competition (24-10). .

Now the model has simulated Clemson vs. Iowa State 10,000 times, and the results are in. We can tell you that the model is leaning Under on the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits nearly 60 percent of the time. You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in your own picks.
