2020 SportsLine Simulation Bracket Full of Surprises

SportsLine simulated every possible matchup 10,000 times and the team that won over half the simulations was selected to advance. In order to "simulate the madness," we also assumed that the Nos. 3-6 seeds with the lowest win percentage when compared to other teams of the same seed would be upset. With this approach, we nailed 15 of the 26 double-digit seed upsets in the first round the past four years!

Our proven projection model has simulated every NCAA Tournament game 10,000 times, just like in the bracket above. Last year, the simulation nailed some massive upsets, including huge wins by No. 13 seed UC-Irvine over No. 4 seed Kansas State, No. 10 seed Florida over No. 7 seed Nevada, and No. 12 seed Oregon over No. 5 seed Wisconsin.

This model, which simulates every game 10,000 times, has nailed 15 of the 26 first-round upsets by double-digit seeds the past four years and nailed a whopping 14 teams in the Sweet 16 last year!
