2019 NFL picks: Week 5 predictions from an advanced computer model
The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every NFL game 10,000 times and has crushed human experts on a consistent basis.Â
This model is up more than $7,000 for $100 players on its top-rated NFL picks since its inception four years ago. It has nailed its recent top-rated NFL picks, entering Week 5 of the 2019 NFL schedule on a blistering 21-11 run that dates back to last season. It's also on a 83-54 roll on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season. And in Week 4, it nailed the Saints (+2.5) winning outright as underdogs against the Cowboys.
The model also ranked in the Top 10 on NFLPickWatch for the third year in a row on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 96 percent of CBS Sports office pool players. Anyone who has followed it is WAY UP.
Now, it has simulated every snap of Week 5 of the 2019 NFL season and the results are in.Â
We can tell you the model says the Giants (+5.5) stay within the spread at home against the Vikings. Quarterback Daniel Jones has led the Giants to consecutive wins and covers, and the model is calling for him to throw for 250 yards against a tough Vikings defense this week. Minnesota wins straight-up, but the model says the spread is too large, as the Giants cover in over 50 percent of simulations. There's also value on the Under (43.5) because that hits almost 70 percent of the time.Â
The model also has a strong pick for the huge showdown between the Cowboys and Packers, and is calling for a Super Bowl contender to go down HARD. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is before locking in your own picks.
So which teams should you back in Week 5 of the 2019 NFL season? And which Super Bowl contender goes down? ... Join SportsLine here to see which teams are winning more than 50 percent of simulations, all from the model that has returned over $7,000 on its top-rated picks!
