The Hilltoppers have been dominant in regular season C-USA play as they are 11-2 SU & ATS in their last 13 conference games. They are averaging a 23-pt win in those 13 games. On the other side, the Blue Raiders are 2-7 ATS in their last nine road conference games. Wishing I posted this earlier when the line was six, but I still think the Hilltoppers win by double-digits.
Enjoy non-power games like this in the spotlight because then I get to go read those small-town newspapers (where I started) and their prediction. Of course, they ALWAYS pick their team to win. Middle Tennessee could be at Georgia/KC Chiefs/Monstars/Globetrotters and the Murfreesboro Daily News Journal would predict a Blue Raiders stunner. WKU has won the previous four "100 Miles of Hate" games, including by 18 last year away, and has by far the better QB in Austin Reed. My fault for not grabbing the ML earlier in the week when it was cheaper. I'll punish myself by only playing a half unit. While I am fine playing this solo, will I also parlay this with something else tonight? Why yes I will.
100 miles of hate. For anyone lucky enough to have been around this rivalry you know low-key how much fun it is. May not mean much to the CFB world but in Bowling Green and Murfreesboro it surely does. This annual matchup is all about streaks and location...and the Hilltoppers have won four straight plus it's at home. These aren't the best renditions of either team as of late however Western Kentucky is just a little bit better, specifically their offensive efficiency inside the Kentucky state line. If you want a fun game to watch on Thursday tune in to the CBS Sports Network, isn't always pretty but that's what makes this rivalry what it is.
