The Indiana Hoosiers are 3-0, but it's an ugly 3-0. The Hoosiers have trailed in every game and were down double digits in the second half of each of their last two games. The Cincinnati Bearcats lost to Arkansas before dismantling two sub-par opponents. This will be the second year in a row that these teams meet. Last season, the Hoosiers, who ended the season with two wins, went into the fourth quarter with a lead over the eighth ranked Bearcats before quarterback Desmond Ridder led the Bearcats to a 14-point win. With Ridder gone and the Hoosiers improved, this spread is way too high. Take the points with the Hoosiers.
Rivalry games are one of the best parts of college football, and we have a great one here between Indiana and Cincinnati. You can legitimately call them the 'Cardiac Hoosiers' this year with how they've played in each game, but you can't say they don't play hard for head coach Tom Allen. Both teams are scrappy and do a great job of being opportunistic. And perhaps Cincinnati's defense is a bit better than Indiana, don't overlook the fact that the Hoosiers can score. This point spread is far too large for this particular Indiana offensive attack.
