This total completely baffles me -- have oddsmakers seen Michigan State play? They are old-school like most of the Big Ten: run, run, short pass, chew clock and then play good defense. Sparty just isn't a team that can/does run up the score (because it doesn't pass well) even though WKU is pretty bad defensively. The Hilltoppers can score, but MSU has yet to allow more than 21 points and probably won't again. This will be something like 34-17.

Five weeks in, and Michigan State still isn’t getting the respect that it deserves. The Hilltoppers rank 11th in Conference USA in rush defense at 224.67 yards per game, and the Spartans boast a devastating rushing attack led by Kenneth Walker III -- the top running back in the nation through four weeks. The Spartans are 2-1 against the spread this season and, at the very least, will win by two touchdowns against a vastly out-manned Hilltoppers squad.
