Pretty darn surprised at this number; Kentucky looked utterly magnificent on Saturday in trashing Alabama and had zero trouble stomping MSU earlier this season in Lexington. True, the Cats have let their focus slip on the road at times but I'm still pretty shocked they are getting 4.

Mock brackets for the Big Dance are starting to make room for Mississippi State, as the Bulldogs bring a five-game win streak into the Hump tonight. Drill a bit deeper, however, and note that all of those wins came against teams that are currently slotted behind MSU in the SEC table, and comprising almost the entirety of the lower tier in the loop (the Bulldogs had already vanquished lowly Vanderbilt on January 20). Caution, then, for tonight, even as John Calipari’s Cats have dropped four on the road in SEC play.
