Tulane has lost four of its last five games. The Blazers won the first meeting by 14-points at home, where they controlled the boards and Tulane shot less than 40% from the field. The Green Wave are 4-9 SU in conference play but 10-4 SU at home. UAB is 2-1 SU in their last three games but only shooting 43.2% effectively. The Green Wave’s shoot 57.7% effectively at home with a +10.5-point differential. Either team has the strongest defense, but Tulane wants a fast-paced game to capitalize in transition.

Trying to make sense of that stunning Rice blowout of UAB on Wednesday, all it takes is a look at Owls shooters, who nailed better than 60% from the floor and 57% beyond the arc. Mind, the Blazers had won five of six beforehand, but a quick recovery would be no surprise as UAB has bounced back with wins after its three previous AAC losses. One of those was at the expense of Tulane at gene Bartow Arena on January 17 when the Blazers controlled the boards (that's putting it mildly) by a whopping 49=29 count. and St Bona transfer G Alejandro Vasquez scored a season-high 28.
