Not having truly terrible nights but a minus overall for a while, usually just one game that kills me -- I can totally trace this slump to one game in particular, too, about nine days ago. Can't remember the last time a shot in the final seconds went my way. Of course Penn State made a three with zeroes on the clock last night in Evanston to win and ruin a profitable night. Whatever. I wrote a news story yesterday about how bettors at Caesars -- I got this at a cheaper ML last night personally but Caesars doesn't do lookahead CBB moneylines -- are crushing South Alabama to win the Sun Belt Tournament despite being the eighth seed, and I do think the Jaguars are good longer-shot value. They played great down the stretch and have an X factor in 7-footer Kevin Samuel, the nation's active leader in rebounds and blocked shots, that no other team does. It's the first game of the day so let's change our karma ahead of March Madness, but I am ready for baseball.
