Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs are new favorites to win Super Bowl 54

The Kansas City Chiefs haven't won a Super Bowl in 50 years. They are the new favorites, however, to take SB LIV in Miami.

The Baltimore Ravens entered the Divisional Round of the playoffs on a franchise-record 12-game winning streak and as the clear favorites on the NFL futures odds at the Westgate in Las Vegas to win the Super Bowl. However, Lamar Jackson & Co. were stunned at home by the Tennessee Titans 28-12 on Saturday. That opened the door for the second-seeded Kansas City Chiefs to host the AFC title game with a win over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Patrick Mahomes & Co. hung 51 points on Houston as K.C. rallied from a 24-0 deficit to win by 20. The Chiefs are now the +140 favorites to win the Super Bowl. For all the success Andy Reid has had in his career, and he's arguably the second-best coach of his generation behind Bill Belichick, Reid has led just one team to the Super Bowl. That was Philadelphia in the 2004 season and the Eagles lost to the Patriots 24-21 in Jacksonville.

Kansas City on Sunday became the first team in NFL history to win a playoff game by at least 20 points after trailing by at least 20. Mahomes was fabulous, throwing for 321 yards and five touchdowns without a pick while leading the team with 53 yards rushing. Travis Kelce had 10 catches for 134 yards and three touchdowns. K.C. is currently -7.5 on the NFL odds for this Sunday's game against the sixth-seeded Titans, who are +800 to win the Super Bowl.

The NFC top-seeded San Francisco 49ers are +150 second-favorites to win it all. The 49ers are in their 16th NFC Championship Game, the most all-time in any conference, but first since the 2013 season. The Niners' defense was spectacular in Saturday's 27-10 win over the Vikings, allowing just 147 total yards and 21 yards on the ground. Those were both franchise playoff records for San Francisco.

It is a 7-point favorite Sunday against the No. 2 Green Bay Packers, who are +700 to win it all. The Packers lost 37-8 at Levi's Stadium in Week 12 but haven't been beaten since. They were 28-23 winners over Seattle on Sunday in the Divisional Round.

Odds to win Super Bowl LIV
Kansas City +140
San Francisco +150
Green Bay +700
Tennessee +800
