Suns vs. Nuggets Monday NBA playoffs Game 2 props, odds, trends: Even action on spread, bettors on Devin Booker for 30-point night

The Suns look to tie their first-round series with Denver on Monday.

The Phoenix Suns haven't lost back-to-back games with Kevin Durant on the court since his trade from Brooklyn, but that streak is on the line tonight in Denver with the Suns down 1-0 in their Western Conference semifinal series and 4.5-point underdogs at BetMGM against the top-seeded Nuggets. Devin Booker's point total is the most-wagered player prop thus far. Click here for model picks.

As of this writing, 50% of the bets and 54% of the money have come in on the Nuggets against the spread. On the total of 227.5 points, 64% of the bets and 53% of the money are on the Over. At +155 on the moneyline, the Suns are taking 71% of the bets and 69% of the money.

Saturday's 125-107 defeat was only Phoenix's second loss in 14 games that Durant has played for the team; the other was a 115-110 home upset by the L.A. Clippers in Game 1 of the first round. Durant was terrific on Saturday with 29 points on 12-for-19 shooting, along with 14 rebounds, but did give away a whopping seven turnovers. Durant has 4,730 career playoff points is 32 points away from surpassing Karl Malone (4,761) for seventh place on the NBA's all-time playoff scoring list.

Booker had 27 points in Game 1 as he and Durant became the first duo in NBA playoffs history to each score at least 25 points in each of the first six games of a single postseason – the Lakers' Kobe Bryant & Shaquille O'Neal held the record at five in 2003. The Suns superstars didn't get much scoring help in Game 1 -- none of their teammates scored more than 14 points.

On the flip side, the Nuggets had three players with at least 23 points in Jamal Murray (34), Nikola Jokic (24) and Aaron Gordon (23). It was the 10th time ever and third time since 1989 in Denver playoff history that three Nuggets scored at least 23 points in a single playoff game. Denver also improved to 7-1 in franchise playoff history when making at least 16 3-pointers.

The Nuggets are 5-1 when Murray makes at least six 3-pointers, as he did in Game 1. The Suns started Josh Okogie over Torrey Craig in Game 1 to add another defensive guard for Murray, but Phoenix coach Monty Williams said more changes will be needed.

"Let's be honest, some of the shots he hit, I don't think anybody could have stopped him tonight," Williams told reporters postgame. "We've got to do something a little bit different in our schemes to keep him from getting the ball or getting it out of his hands."

The three most-wagered player props tonight are Booker Over 29.5 points (-120), Murray Over 24.5 points (-125) and Durant Over 28.5 points (-120).

Denver is the +200 favorite at BetMGM to win the West and the book is exposed, as the highest share of the bets (24%) has come in on the Nuggets. Phoenix is +290.
