Pacers vs. Hawks Tuesday NBA injury report, spread, odds: Atlanta has failed to cover spread in every straight-up loss this season

There's a stunning betting statistic regarding the Atlanta Hawks entering their game Tuesday.

The Atlanta Hawks are 10.5-point favorites at Caesars Sportsbook for tonight's home game against an Indiana Pacers team that could be missing a few regulars. Thus, the Hawks shouldn't lose even with guys such as Danilo Gallinari and Lou Williams as potential game-time calls. Consider this, however: Atlanta has failed to cover a spread in all 28 losses this season, going 0-28 ATS, compared to 23-2 ATS when it wins a game. Click here for model picks.

I frankly can't remember anything like that 0-28 ATS mark but I double-checked and it's true. The two Hawks wins in which they didn't cover, meanwhile, was at -13 at home vs. Oklahoma City (113-101 victory) on Nov. 22 and at -5 at New Orleans on Oct. 27 (102-99 win).

Atlanta has followed a seven-game SU winning streak by losing three of four. Both Gallinari and Williams come off the bench, so they wouldn't be missed all that much. Atlanta has made down 10-or-more three-pointers in 12 straight home games, the second-longest such home streak in franchise history and the third-longest active such streak in the NBA.

Hawks All-Star guard Trey Young is -105 at Caesars for a double-double tonight. Young has recorded four consecutive points/assists double-doubles against the Pacers and is averaging 28.0 points and 11.3 assists in those four. The lone meeting this season was a 114-111 Hawks win in Indianapolis on Dec. 1. With Atlanta up a point and 1.2 second left, Young was fouled and made both free throws to basically clinch it. Young had 33 points and 10 assists.

Malcolm Brogdon led the Pacers with 27 points in that one but is questionable Tuesday with Achilles soreness. The former NBA Rookie of the Year hasn't played since Jan. 19. Rookie center Isaiah Jackson is also questionable.

Domantas Sabonis isn't listed on the injury report but there are many trade rumors swirling so if he's suddenly ruled out, something is likely up. Sabonis ranks fifth in the NBA this season in rebounding (11.9), third in double-doubles (34) and sixth in triple-doubles (5). The Pacers started their fire sale over the weekend in shipping Caris LeVert to Cleveland. Starting center Myles Turner remains out injured, which probably ends any chance of him being traded.
