Young Jonathan Cannon has started to wobble, with a 6.00 ERA his last two starts, and we are less unlikely to overlook his recent struggles than those of Cooperstown-bound Max Scherzer, who only lasted two innings in his most-recent start vs. the Orioles. Losses in ten straight, and now on course to match the '62 Mets and their record 120 setbacks, the Pale Hose continue to be a premium go-against option. Play Rangers on Run Line

The Rangers have won 11 of 15 and are surging toward first place while the White Sox have gone 3-15 in July and are heading toward one of the worst seasons in MLB history. Wednesday's game was close for a while until the Rangers blew the doors off and it wouldn't be surprising to see this happen again. It's a good spot for Max Scherzer against an offense that has scored 22 runs in its last 11 games. The most likely scenario is a multi-run Rangers win, so it's the run line (-1.5, -130), even with a little juice.
