    Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

    Allie's Analysis:

As the Mets continue their meteoric rise toward the top of the NL East, the Giants seem to be heading in the opposite direction. New York has won eight of their last nine games, while San Francisco has lost seven of their last eight. Logan Webb is still searching for his first win of the season with a 0-4 record and a 4.94 ERA. That doesn't exactly scream confidence, especially when facing a Mets lineup that's been on fire lately. I'll admit that Mets' lefty David Peterson hasn't been very impressive, but he has the advantage of facing a Giants lineup that's been inconsistent at best. I'm surprised to see the Mets as underdogs today, making them worth a play at +110.
