The Braves are going with left-handed pitcher Kyle Muller. Muller's first start of the season resulted in him giving up seven earned runs in just 2.2 innings. Miami is starting another southpaw in Jesus Luzardo, who pitched well against the Braves in Atlanta earlier this season. Still, I expect the Marlins to put up a couple on Muller, which should ignite a reaction from the Braves offense. Braves games have totaled at least eight runs 14-5 since the All-Star Break. We saw both teams leave a lot of men on base last night, so hopefully, we're able to see some hits convert to runs tonight.
I think the Marlins will win at least one of these doubleheader games at home as underdogs, so I am going to play them in Game 1 and if they lose, run it back in Game 2 to try to profit. Jesus Luzardo has been pitching well lately and he takes on Kyle Muller who is making just his second start of the season. Both teams bullpens are in a spot where if they have their top pitchers pitch in Game one, they won’t have many options in Game two. The Marlins got a couple key players in Jon Berti and Brian Anderson back yesterday to help with their doubleheader depth.
