Injuries are a big factor in every NFL season, and 2023 is no exception, as we continue to pile up quarterback injuries week in and week out. This week's it's Anthony Richardson, who is expected to miss time with a shoulder injury suffered in the win over the Titans. In our weekly QB Rankings article put together by Mike Tierney, I initially had the drop from Richardson to backup Gardner Minshew at two points, even though I know the general opinion of Minshew tends to skew high.

But a couple of caveats: Minshew has actually done a solid job in relief of Richardson this season, playing well once he came into the game against Tennessee and Houston while also doing just enough to get the win in Baltimore as a starter thanks in large part to four long field goals. The Eagles lost Minshew's two games as a fill-in for Jalen Hurts last year, but that included a massive game against the Cowboys defense. His other game against the Saints wasn't great, but there's a reason he landed in Indy with former Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen, and his performance so far this year is better than I anticipated.

I've also had the Colts a little too low in my power ratings all along, and if I didn't adjust them upward this week, they'd be among teams like the Patriots and Broncos, two teams they'd unquestionably be favored over on a neutral field right now. So I'm in the rare situation of adjusting a team up following a QB injury even though I don't think the backup QB is better than the injured starter. That may come back to bite me this week, but a mediocre Jaguars pass defense figures to be a solid matchup for Minshew, who of course has history with the organization. I'll give you my line projection for that game and every other Week 6 matchup below along with my spread power ratings for every team.
