Super Bowl 57 Madden NFL 23 official simulation: Eagles beat Chiefs 31-17, Jalen Hurts named MVP

Madden NFL 23's official simulation is predicting the Philadelphia Eagles to win Super Bowl 57.

The official Madden NFL 23 video game simulation of Super Bowl 57 has been run, and the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 31-17. Keep in mind that the Madden sim has correctly predicted the winner in just one of the past five Super Bowls. The Eagles remain 1.5-point favorites at Caesars Sportsbook. The SportsLine Projection Model forecasts a 25-23 Philadelphia win.

The Eagles winning by the exact score of 31-17 is priced +7500 at Caesars, and winning by a margin of 13-18 points is +750. Philadelphia scoring exactly 31 points is +1200 and Kansas City exactly 17 is +1200.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was named the game's Most Valuable Player in the Madden simulation, completing 26 of his 33 passes for 282 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions while rushing 10 times for 88 yards and another touchdown. Hurts is the +110 favorite to win MVP honors. He is set at over/under 240.5 passing yards at Caesars, 1.5 TD passes and 49.5 rushing yards. The SportsLine Model projects him to finish 19-for-30 for 211 yards with 1.5 TDs to go with 8.6 carries for 39 yards.

The only Super Bowl in the past five that the Madden simulation got right was Super 54, when it predicted Kansas City would beat the San Francisco 49ers -- and that Mahomes would be named MVP.

For Sunday's game, Madden simulations have Mahomes completing 29 of 39 passes for 249 yards, one TD pass to Travis Kelce and an interception by Philadelphia safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson in the third quarter. Mahomes is set at O/U 291.5 yards and 0.5 interceptions at Caesars. There is a prop on whether Gardner-Johnson has a pick with Yes at +500 and No -800.

Kelce's TD was the first of the Super Bowl in the Madden sim, and he's the +550 favorite to score the game's first touchdown. There were points in every quarter of the simulation. That at least one quarter is scoreless Sunday is +400 with No at -600. Super Bowl 55 was the last big game with a scoreless quarter.
