Ravens vs. Bengals NFL Wild Card Weekend odds: Bettors split on spread with Tyler Huntley to start at quarterback for Baltimore

Caesars Sportsbook bettors are mixed on Sunday's Ravens-Bengals matchup.

The Cincinnati Bengals opened as 6-point home favorites at Caesars Sportsbook for Sunday's Wild Card Weekend matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, but the only reason that number was so low was due to the chance that Lamar Jackson would be back for Baltimore. He will not be (and might be done with the team overall), so Tyler Huntley will get the call under center and now the Ravens are getting 9.5 points. However, bettors at Caesars Sportsbook are split on the spread.

As of this writing, 75.3% of tickets are on Cincinnati but 79.1% of the money is on Baltimore. The handle is largely due to one Indiana bettor who laid $880,000 on Ravens +6.5 (-110) for a potential win of $800,000. The total has dropped from 44 to 40.5 as the Under has secured 91.5% of the handle despite the Over earning 60.5% of the tickets.

"When we opened it Bengals -6, it was a middle ground number," said Adam Pullen, Assistant Director of Trading at Caesars Sportsbook. "That's what we have to do when we're not sure who the quarterback is. We want to put a line up, so we have to put it in the middle so to speak. It's looking unlikely, but if Jackson were to play, he clearly wouldn't be 100%. So the line would be lower, but I'm not sure how much lower. I think Huntley is serviceable, he's not going to wow you but he'll be a good game-manager."

Cincinnati was the second-best against-the-spread team in the league during the regular season at 12-4 ATS (the Giants were 13-4 ATS). Since 2003, teams that covered 70% or more of their regular-season games have gone 18-21-1 ATS in the playoffs. As favorites, those teams are just 11-18 ATS. Then again, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is 4-0 ATS in his playoff career.

Burrow & Co. enter on an eight-game winning streak. Since 2003, teams on a winning streak of eight or more games have gone 9-22 (29%) ATS in the playoffs. Another trend favoring Baltimore: Since 2003, when division opponents meet in the NFL playoffs, the road team has gone 16-8-1 ATS.

The Ravens will get a key player back from injury in cornerback Marcus Peters. The four-time All-Pro sat out the final three games of the regular season with a mild calf strain suffered in Week 15, but has practiced this week and will be ready.
