Philadelphia Eagles-Los Angeles Chargers Projected Final Score Revealed

Is this the week Philip Rivers and the Chargers get over the hump, or do the Eagles go to 3-1? SportsLine simulates the game 10,000 times to come up with stats and a winner.

The Chargers host the Eagles in a Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET clash in Los Angeles.

SportsLine Projection Model’s score: Eagles 25, Chargers 22

Vegas line: After opening as a 1-point underdog, the winless Chargers are a 1-point favorite (O/U 47.5)

The Eagles had the Giants shut down, let them back in the game in the fourth quarter, but their rookie kicker bailed the team out.

Jake Elliott kicked a franchise-record 61-yard field goal to give the Eagles a 24-21 win over the Giants, leading to a video of Elliott’s parents’ reaction that’s worthy of its viral status.

Spreading the ball around has been a strength for Philly. Four running backs have between 113 and 61 yards, and four receivers have at least 115 yards, led by tight end Zach Ertz’s 245.

The Chargers have a pair of defenders putting pressure on the QB. OLB Melvin Ingram has 5.5 sacks through three games, second-most in the league, while DE Chris McCain had three sacks.

That’s the good news. The bad news is, the L.A. team is now 0-3 after a humbling 24-10 loss to the Chiefs.

The first two losses could be partly blamed on a blocked field goal and missed field goal in the closing seconds that could have altered outcomes.

Not last week. Philip Rivers tossed three interceptions, leading to 17 Kansas City points, and the defense was gashed by Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt, who ran for 172 yards and one TD on 17 carries.

SportsLine simulated the game 10,000 times, and projects Carson Wentz to pass for 242 yards and 1.51 TDs, with Alshon Jeffery to catch 5.9 passes for 69 yards. Rivers throws for 261 yards, 1.61 TDs and 1.27 INTs for the Chargers.
