Panthers vs. Bears Thursday NFL Week 10 props, trends: Receivers Adam Thielen, DJ Moore taking heaviest player prop action

Bettors like Chicago's DJ Moore to score the first touchdown in Thursday night's game vs. Carolina.

DraftKings has released its most-wagered props for the Thursday Night Football game between the Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears at Solider Field, and this writer can't say he's surprised that the two most popular players are receivers Adam Thielen and DJ Moore. Theilen essentially replaced Moore after the latter was traded to Chicago, and Moore is the top storyline tonight. Chicago remains -3.5 on the SportsLine consensus and is taking 62% of the handle and 64% of the money. Click here for much more on TNF.

Moore was part of the massive package the Bears got back from the Panthers in March for dealing the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to Carolina. Chicago hadn't had a true No. 1 receiver in years and Moore has delivered. His 735 receiving yards are already more than any Bears player had last year. Moore and Justin Fields were in spectacular rhythm for a few games, but then Fields went down with a thumb injury in Week 6 and hasn't played since.

With Tyson Bagent under center, which will be the case again tonight, Moore has led the team in receiving yards just once in the past three games and has zero touchdowns on 15 catches. Bagent tends to focus first on tight end Cole Kmet. In the final three games in which Fields played the full way, Moore caught all five of his touchdowns.

Carolina ranks third against the pass, allowing just 174.8 yards per game, and has surrendered 11 touchdown passes. The defense is really banged up Thursday with top pass-rusher Brian Burns and No. 1 cornerback CJ Henderson out.

You know Moore wants to score against his former team, and Carolina is allowing 36.3 points per game on the road this season. Moore is taking by far the most action for an anytime TD at +170 and the game's first touchdown at +800. On the latter, he's taking 21% of the handle and 21% of the bets -- both the highest rates -- with Kmet second at 16% on both.

Carolina had a gaping hole at receiver after trading Moore so it signed the former Vikings Pro Bowler Thielen after he was released by Minnesota. Thielen is having a fine bounce-back season with 62 catches for 610 yards and four scores. Chicago's run defense is terrific but it is one of the worst against the pass. The most popular non-TD prop for this one is Thielen Over 6.5 catches at -115. He's also taking the second-most action for an anytime TD (+180) and third-most for the game's first score (+850).
