Odell Beckham Jr. next NFL team odds: Cowboys, Jets, Bills, Chiefs, Giants, Patriots favored landing spots for free-agent receiver

With NFL free agency opening next week, the class of wide receivers available isn't considered to be all that deep, with New England's Jakobi Meyers the potential top target for clubs after he caught 67 passes for 804 yards and six touchdowns last season. The most accomplished wideout on the market? That would be Odell Beckham Jr., who missed the entire 2022 campaign while rehabbing a torn ACL he suffered in Super Bowl 56 with the Rams. Beckham will work out for teams today in Arizona, and SportsLine offers odds on his 2023 team.

CBS Sports' Jared Dubin lists Beckham as the No. 3 wideout on the market, with Myers and JuJu Smith-Schuster ahead of him at the position. NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal ranks Beckham Jr. as his No. 9 overall player on the market and the No. 1 wideout. Not sure about that considering OBJ is 30 years old and now has had two ACL surgeries since 2020. ESPN ranks Beckham as the No. 19 overall player and No. 2 wideout behind Meyers. 

Splitting time with Cleveland and the Rams in 2021, Beckham totaled 44 catches for 537 yards and five scores in 14 regular-season games. He scored the first touchdown of Super Bowl 56 in the win against the Bengals on a pass from Matthew Stafford but blew out his knee in the second quarter.

Entering last season, the Rams definitely wanted Beckham back. But Los Angeles will not be an option this time, as the Rams are deep in rebuild mode and might even trade Stafford. Beckham had been linked to the Cowboys, Bills and Giants last season – and visited each team -- but never was 100% recovered. Beckham declined to work out for clubs and could not prove he was healthy enough to warrant signing. The three-time Pro Bowler says he is ready to go now. 

Beckham was the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2014 with the Giants and had at least 1,300 yards receiving and double-digit touchdowns in each of his first three seasons. He isn't that level of player any longer, but certainly could be a No. 2 option on a contender – and Beckham will likely only sign with a team that offers him a chance to earn a second Super Bowl ring.

The Jets weren't an option last season, but a potential trade for Aaron Rodgers could change everything. At one point, Beckham also has been linked to Green Bay. The Jets' odds to win Super Bowl 58 have improved to +1700 simply because of the likelihood of a Rodgers trade. Those are better odds than the Cowboys (+1800) and Giants (+4000) have.

Buffalo is a +800 third-favorite behind Kansas City (+600) and San Francisco (+700). The Chiefs' top receiver last year was Smith-Schuster. Why wouldn't Beckham want to catch passes from Patrick Mahomes? Beckham can sign with a team immediately and doesn't have to wait until next Wednesday, the start of the new league year.

New England loves to collect stars under Bill Belichick and presumably will need to replace Meyers. Before signing with the Rams after his release from Cleveland in the 2021 season, Beckham said Belichick called and he was "very, very, very, very" close to inking a deal with New England.

Beckham is from Louisiana and went to high school in New Orleans, so the Saints could be a possibility with new QB Derek Carr, although they aren't considered major Super Bowl 58 threats.
