North Carolina A&T vs. Radford line, picks: Advanced computer college basketball model releases selections for Big South Tournament matchup

SportsLine's projection model generated selections for Wednesday's Big South Tournament matchup between the North Carolina A&T Aggies and the Radford Highlanders

The 2022 Big South Tournament gets underway with an opening round matchup between the North Carolina A&T Aggies and the Radford Highlanders at 11:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday. North Carolina A&T is favored by one point at Caesars Sportsbook, while the Over-Under is set at 131.5 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college basketball odds page). Before making any North Carolina A&T vs. Radford picks, you NEED to check out the college basketball predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated an impressive profit of over $1,700 for $100 players on its top-rated college basketball picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows the Aggies are potent on the offensive glass. North Carolina A&T leads the Big South in offensive rebound rate, securing 31.7 percent of missed shots, and that leads to second-chance opportunities. The Aggies are also No. 1 in block avoidance, with only six percent of shots rejected this season. North Carolina takes care of the ball well, committing a turnover on only 18 percent of possessions, and the Aggies force a turnover on more than 19 percent of trips on defense. That includes a 10 percent steal rate for the season, and Radford's offense is below-average in assist rate, free throw rate, two-point percentage and free throw percentage.

The model also knows the Highlanders are leading the Big South in havoc creation. Radford forces a turnover on 21.6 percent of defensive possessions this season, including a 9.8 percent steal rate, and the Highlanders are also very good on the defensive glass. Radford is also in the top three of the Big South in offensive rebound rate, securing more than 30 percent of missed shots, and North Carolina A&T is strongly below-average in the Big South in defensive efficiency. The Highlanders are second-worst in the conference in free throw prevention, with below-average marks in three-point defense and defensive rebound rate.

Now, it has set its sights on North Carolina A&T vs. Radford. We can tell you the model is leaning over the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in over 50 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college basketball picks.
