NFL Week 7 opening line projections: Early power rating adjustments to help attack spreads for every game
Sunday of Week 6 turned out to be another brutal day for quarterback injuries, with Ryan Tannehill, Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence all unable to finish their respective games. And the most consequential non-QB in the league also didn't finish his game, with Christian McCaffrey briefly returning to the field before getting ruled out with an oblique injury. If any of those injuries impact player availability for Week 7, it should have a big effect on the spread, even McCaffrey.
Injury would be the only reason to move the 49ers down, as I didn't drop their power rating after the surprising loss to the Browns, which had definite flat spot potential heading into the game. I didn't lay the 7.5 with San Francisco in the Circa Million like a large number of people did expressly because my danger radar went off for that low-total game.
I did, however, make plenty of other power ratings adjustments to get an idea of where I would set the spread for each Week 7 game. You can see all of my early projected spreads below, which is designed to help you attack the Week 7 opening lines later today. We'll run our full look at power ratings and official spread projections on Tuesday here at SportsLine.
