NFL Week 3 opening line projections: Early power rating adjustments to help attack spreads for every game
Week 2 was get-right time for several teams that disappointed in their openers, with the Bills, Chiefs and Seahawks among those getting back on track. That list doesn't include the Bengals, who lost at home to a beat-up Ravens team after giving up 27 points and 415 yards of offense. Not only that, but Joe Burrow is now managing a calf injury that may put his status for Week 3 in question.
How far should we adjust the Bengals down in our spread power ratings after their 0-2 start? And have the Falcons and Buccaneers done enough to get an above-average grade heading into Week 3? I had the Falcons as three points below average heading into the week, as I needed to see something from Desmond Ridder and the passing offense before buying in. Ridder led an attack that racked up 446 yards against a solid Packers defense, and while a good portion of that went to the running game, Ridder's 19-of-32, 237-yard performance that featured a building rapport with Drake London at least provides some encouragement the Falcons can keep this up.
