We had our Teaser of the Week ruined by the Ravens, who only scored three points against the Browns with the best kicker in the history of the NFL missing one field goal and having another blocked. The Baltimore defense did its part, but those unsuccessful field goal attempts were the difference between a win and a loss for our top teaser. Thankfully, all our other top legs hit, so anyone playing a Steelers-Bills or Steelers-Packers teaser got there.

This week, we have to worry about severe weather conditions for a lot of the games on the slate, and that makes it trickier to trust teasing down some key favorites. But the team we'll focus on avoiding in this part of our weekly look at top teaser options is a home underdog, up against a team we were wise not to fade last week.

The Patriots are 3.5-point home underdogs against the Bengals, meaning they only need to avoid a double-digit loss if you throw them in a teaser. That seems like an easy ask with what tends to be one of the better defenses in football, but the Dolphins, Ravens and Bills all managed to beat the Patriots by at least 10 points this season, and all had elite offenses at the time of those matchups. The Bengals rank right up there with the best teams in the league, so I could see the Cincinnati offense doing its part to make this a blowout. Additionally, the Cincinnati defense has been Belichickian in its ability to make halftime adjustments and shut down opposing offenses after the break. If the Bengals can win by double digits after falling behind 17-0 like they proved last week, it's hard to tease against them in any situation.
