NFL Week 15 lookahead lines, picks: The three games to bet a week early from proven NFL expert
Let's borrow from the law of gravity to examine what it means when a lookahead line is 14.5 points. A spread of more than two touchdowns must be considered "up" and likely can only come down during the week of the game.
Except when the Houston Texans are involved.
We snared the Texans against Dallas last week, thinking the 14.5 could only dip. But after Houston was hammered by Cleveland and the Cowboys demolished Indianapolis, the line stood at 16.5. The lookahead pick was a gravitational bust.Â
Our other selections worked out well. Kansas City jumped from -7 to -9.5 against Denver, even after the Cheifs lost, because the Broncos' offense remains M.I.A.
Las Vegas sits at -6 versus the Rams, one point above the number that was available a week ago. The Raiders have won three in a row outright, while the Rams' Super Bowl victory just 10 months ago seems like 10 years ago.Â
We are blessed with full 16-game schedules for the remainder of the season. Finding three appealing lookaheads from the Week 15 card was not too challenging.
