NFL Week 11 opening line projections: Early power rating adjustments to help attack spreads for every game
The early slate on Sunday provided several nail-biters, including two games that appeared to be on their way to blowouts in Minnesota and Baltimore. In the former, Jameis Winston was able to spark the Saints offense while subbing in for an injured Derek Carr, giving his team a chance at tying the game late. But as Jameis giveth, Jameis taketh away, and interceptions ended the offense's final two drives prior to an unsuccessful Hail Mary attempt.
In the other game, the Ravens seemed to have things in hand at halftime with Deshuan Watson potentially unable to continue after taking a big hit just before the break. But he was back on the field to start the half and perfect as a passer until the final whistle, which when combined with a fortunate deflection on a pick-six, helped the Browns pull off the comeback win. If Watson can be the quarterback from the second half of the win over the rest of the season rather than the one from the first half, Cleveland is going to be tough for teams to stop. For now, I'm adjusting them to be slightly above average in my spread power ratings as we project next week's lines.
I also made plenty of other power ratings adjustments to get an idea of where I would set the spread for each Week 11 game. You can see all of my early projected spreads below, which is designed to help you attack the Week 11 opening lines later today. We'll run our full look at power ratings and official spread projections on Tuesday here at SportsLine.
