Few NFL players have shown the consistency of Anquan Boldin.
The 36-year old, three-time Pro Bowl receiver has averaged 76.8 catches and 984.2 yards per season over the course of his 14-year career with the Cardinals, Ravens, 49ers and Lions. Amazingly, he's had at least 56 catches every single season he's played.
His numbers in 2016 with Detroit -- 67 catches and 584 yards -- weren't flashy, but Boldin remained an effective red-zone threat with eight touchdowns. And while his yards per catch and per game were down from his career averages, he still caught over 70 percent of his targets.
Boldin doesn't have the burst to get open as easily, but get the ball near him, and there's a good chance he'll make the catch.

That's why there remains a market for the veteran receiver, even as training camps are already in full swing.
Boldin visited the Bills before camps opened, and there's been plenty of discussion about that being a potential fit.
But with no deal is in place yet, several contending teams looking for more depth at receiver could be in the mix.
BetOnline.com has released odds for where Boldin will be in Week 1 of the NFL season:
Buffalo Bills +130 (Wager $100 to gain $130)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +800
Carolina Panthers +1400
Atlanta Falcons +1800
Miami Dolphins +2000
Jacksonville Jaguars +2000
Tennessee Titans +2000
Field (any other team) +175

Since Buffalo is Boldin's only known visit to this point, the Bills are the logical favorite. But discussions on that front are "stalled" for now, according to Bills GM Brandon Beane, via an interview with WGR 550.
Beane referenced the importance of Boldin's family in Florida, which makes teams such as the Bucs and Dolphins serious contenders as well.
Tampa Bay doesn't need a ton of help at receiver, but it could be a good spot for Boldin to be near family and have a shot to be with a potential contender.
Boldin would likely just need one or two preseason games to get ready to be a contributing receiver this season, so he can take his time, look for the best fit, and jump in when he's ready -- if he wants to continue his career at all.
