The Brooklyn Nets ended the regular season on a roll and look to continue their success when they host the struggling Cleveland Cavaliers in a 2022 NBA play-in tournament game on Tuesday. The Nets (44-38) finished seventh in the Eastern Conference thanks to a four-game winning streak to end the campaign, while the Cavaliers (44-38) were eighth after losing eight of their final 11 contests. The winner will earn the No. 7 seed in the East and face second-seeded Boston in the first round of the 2022 NBA playoffs.

Brooklyn lost three of four games before turning it on over the final week of the regular season, with three of its four victories coming at home. One of the wins came against Cleveland, a 118-107 triumph on Friday in which Kevin Durant went 4-for-6 from beyond the arc en route to a game-high 36 points. The Nets secured home-court advantage for the play-in game Sunday as six players finished in double figures in a 134-126 home win against Indiana.

Cleveland ended the regular season on a high note, defeating Milwaukee 133-115 at home on Sunday to halt its three-game losing streak. Kevin Love came off the bench to post a double-double as he went 8-for-11 from 3-point range en route to 32 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Lauri Markkanen scored 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting while Evan Mobley recorded 18 points and 10 boards for his 20th double-double of the campaign.
