NBA trade odds revealed for Grizzlies swingman Andre Iguodala

Memphis Grizzlies swingman Andre Iguodala has become the subject of trade rumors and SportsLine oddsmakers have revealed odds on where he'll be playing after the trade deadline.

Andre Iguodala has enjoyed an impressive 15-year career in the NBA, making an All-Star team, earning All-NBA Defensive Team honors twice, winning three championships and earning an NBA Finals MVP award back in 2014-15. And at 36 years old, he'd like to continue that career. Just not for the Memphis Grizzlies.

Iguodala was traded along with a protected first-round pick from the Golden State Warriors to the Grizzlies in exchange for Julian Washburn and a traded-player exception. That helped Golden State free up cap space to complete a sign-and-trade deal with the Brooklyn Nets for De'Angelo Russell. Iguodala has been sitting out ever since and the Grizzlies have been holding onto the veteran in hopes of getting something in return via trade.

So which teams should you back in every game of the 2020 NBA season? And what does the SportsLine projection model predict will happen in the NFL, MLB, NHL and NCAA? ... Join SportsLine here to see which teams are winning more than 50 percent of simulations, all from the model that is a one a blistering 34-18 run for all its top-rated NBA picks!

And with the NBA trade deadline coming up on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET, the Grizzlies are working the phones aggressively to turn the veteran into assets. Iguodala has championship experience and is still a terrific defender who can give a contender 20-25 solid minutes a game.

So what exactly might that be worth on the NBA trade market? And who will be interested in getting a deal done for Iguodala before Thursday's deadline? SportsLine oddsmakers have looked into the Andre Iguodala trade market and released odds for whether or not he'll be traded and where he'll land. These odds are for informational purposes only.

Will the Memphis Grizzlies trade Andre Iguodala before Thursday's NBA Trade Deadline?

Yes -500
No +400

Which team will Andre Iguodala be on following Thursday's NBA Trade Deadline?

Clippers +200
Heat +300
Lakers +500
Nuggets +700
Mavericks +900
Grizzlies +1000
Bucks +1500

Once a high-flying wing who averaged nearly 20 points per game early in his career with the Philadelphia 76ers, Iguodala isn't a particularly dangerous scoring threat anymore. However, he has become a craftier finisher around the rim and has turned into a capable spot-up shooter with a decent mid-range game.

That along with his defensive abilities should make him a valuable addition as the second or third man off the bench for a contending team and that's why you see almost exclusively playoff contenders on the odds board. And the Clippers certainly make a lot of sense for Iguodala at +200.

After acquiring Kawhi Leonard in free agency and trading for Paul George, the Clippers look like a true title contender and adding somebody with Iguodala's experience to the mix would add needed depth with the franchise carefully managing George and Leonard's load on the wing. Iguodala would be a defensive stopper who works brilliantly with the NBA's best bench and could also slot into the starting lineup when Leonard or George are banged up or simply need a rest.

However, the Lakers also need support for their new dynamic duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Meanwhile, the Nuggets and Mavericks are both firmly in playoff contention and could use Iguodala's experience and leadership as they look to prove they're viable contenders in the West. The Bucks and Heat are already serious contenders in the East and adding Iguodala could help them make a deep playoff push and to compete with whatever juggernaut they face from the West in the finals.

Of course, it's possible that the Grizzlies can't get a deal done. And if that's the case, it will be interesting to see what's next for Iguodala. It appears as if he's willing to sit out the entire season. However, at -500 for a trade of some sort, we're banking on the fact that Iguodala does get traded and the Clippers seem to be the best fit overall.
