Marquise Brown projections 2022: Fantasy stats, betting odds, Arizona Cardinals player profile, season outlook, simulations
Kyler Murray may not be too thrilled with the Arizona Cardinals organization over the lack of a long term contract offered to him as of yet. But the team did him a solid by acquiring his favorite college target, Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown, from the Ravens for a first round pick on draft night.
With DeAndre Hopkins suspended for the first six games of the 2022 regular season, the Murray-to-Brown combination should be plentiful for fantasy owners at the onset of the season.
In 2018, Brown averaged more than 100 yards and a touchdown per game playing with Murray at Oklahoma.Â
Despite averaging more than nine targets per game, 'Hollywood' caught 91 passes for just over 1,000 yards and six touchdowns in 2021 for Baltimore. Five of those touchdown receptions came in the team's first five games. It was evident based on his late-season cooling-off that his production suffered greatly when Lamar Jackson was hurt.Â
Assuming Murray and Brown both stay healthy, double-digit targets are likely until at least Hopkins returns in Week 7. The field-stretching ability Brown possesses could be significant for the Arizona offense as well. He's worthy of every-week WR2 status until Hopkins comes back and should continue to remain in lineups from there as a medium-to-low-end WR2 (PPR) / high end WR3 (non-PPR) option in potentially a fun Cardinals' offensive attack.
