Los Angeles Rams-Seattle Seahawks Odds And Picks Against The Spread
It should be a knockdown, drag-out battle in Seattle when the 8-5 Seahawks host the 9-4 Rams in what could be the deciding game for division supremacy.
Both teams are coming off crushing losses. The Seahawks' desperate comeback against the Jaguars last Sunday fell just short, 30-24; while the Rams let a fourth-quarter lead slip away against the Eagles, 43-35.
An L.A. win would mean a two-game lead in the NFC West, but a Seattle victory would make a first-place tie atop the division with the edge belonging to the Seahawks because of the season sweep.
The mistake-prone Rams -- 5-1 on the road -- dropped that game, 16-10, to the Seahawks on Oct. 8.
LINE MOVEMENTS AND TRENDS
The Seahawks, who are 4-2 at home, opened as 1-point favorites and are now laying 2.5. The total is 47.5, down slightly from its initial set at 48.
Los Angeles, which scores 30.5 points a game, is 8-5 against the spread and Seattle is 5-8. The Over has cashed in eight of the Rams' 13 games and the Seahawks are 5-8 O/U.
The Over is 6-1 in L.A.'s previous seven games following an against-the-spread loss and 5-1 in the Rams' last six after straight-up losses.
Seattle, which averages 24.2 points a game, is 5-0-1 against the spread in its previous six Week 15 contests.
The Under has cashed in the Seahawks' last four division games and is 5-0 in the last five head-to-head matchups in Seattle.
The Rams are 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 trips to Seattle.
BREAKDOWN
With three teams jostling for their postseason lives in the NFC South, the Rams and Seahawks desperately need to win.
Both teams rely heavily on their quarterbacks, especially Seattle and its MVP candidate Russell Wilson. He's thrown for 3,527 yards and 29 touchdowns.
His leading wideout is Doug Baldwin, who has 860 receiving yards and five scores.
Seahawks running back Mike Davis carried 15 times for 66 yards in the losing effort to Jacksonville last week.
The Rams have an MVP hopeful, as well, in Jared Goff, who's thrown for 3,383 yards and 22 TDs. Wideout Cooper Kupp is his primary receiver, having notched 783 receiving yards and four scores.
Todd Gurley is the Rams' go-to guy in the backfield with 1,035 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Both teams are stingy on defense: the Rams allow 20.4 points per game and the Seahawks 19.4.
