Los Angeles Rams 2022 futures: Super Bowl odds, win total picks, best bets, schedule and more
The Rams acquired Matthew Stafford for Jared Goff, two first-round picks and a third-rounder. That initially seemed like a lot for a 33-year-old signal caller who had never won a playoff game. But Stafford silenced those doubters by leading LA on a magical four-game postseason run, which resulted in a Super Bowl title won in his new home stadium. Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp had one of the best statistical seasons in NFL history working with Stafford and though Odell Beckham, Jr. likely won't re-sign in LA coming off of a torn ACL in the Super Bowl, veteran wide receiver Allen Robinson provides Stafford with another dynamic weapon in the passing game. While losing future Hall of Fame linebacker Von Miller to Buffalo stings, the Rams should still maintain a top-end unit led by the best defensive player in the game, Aaron Donald.
LA's schedule is striking. The Rams won't leave the southwest (California + Arizona) until Week Nine. They havee the benefit of four home games before their Week Seven bye week. The opener against the Bills is tricky and the Week Four NFC Championship Game rematch in San Francisco presents dangers, but otherwise there's no reason LA shouldn't have at least four wins heading to Tampa in Week Nine. Road games at Tampa Bay, Kansas City, and Green Bay are probably the toughest trio a team will face all season, but there's no reason Sean McVay's team can't reach the double-digit win plateau again in 2022.
Some NFL diehards believe that the Super Bowl hangover effect is a real thing, and therefore betting the Rams to once again make the big game in February of 2023 is so much more difficult. The oddsmakers' value at +450 to win the NFC for the second consecutive season offers little value, as do the +1100 Super Bowl champion odds. Los Angeles is one of the most challenging teams to bet on in the futures market.
