Knicks vs. Wizards Friday NBA injury report, odds: Jalen Brunson has finished over betting game-by-game point total more than any player in league

The Knicks visit the Wizards on Friday in the first game for both teams out of the All-Star break.

SportsLine started offering expert props picks on NBA games right before the All-Star break, and with the New York Knicks coming out of the break Friday at the Washington Wizards, know that Knicks guard Jalen Brunson has gone over his point total on a game-by-game basis this season at DraftKings Sportsbook more than any other player in the league. The Knicks are -1.5 on Friday in DC and Brunson is set at O/U 26.5 points.

New York's big free-agent splash this summer was luring Brunson from Dallas with a four-year, $104 million deal – never was much doubt that he would go to the Knicks with several ties to the franchise. After a bit of an inconsistent start where Brunson might have been trying to justify that contract, the 26-year-old former second-round pick has really settled in.

He had 28 points in New York's final game before the break, a 122-101 win over Atlanta. Brunson has scored 25 points or more in nine of New York's last 10 games and has reached at least 20 points in all 10, averaging 31.5 points while shooting 55.4 percent from the floor and 43.6 percent from beyond the arc. Brunson has 15 games with at least 30 points this season. In his previous four seasons with Dallas, he had three.

Overall, he's averaging a career-high 23.9 ppg, and in two games vs. Washington is averaging 33.0 points: 32 in a 116-105 home loss to the Wizards and 34 points in a 112-108 win in DC on Jan. 13.

The Knicks might get back starting center Mitchell Robinson on Friday. He has been out since Jan. 18 after undergoing thumb surgery but practiced in full Wednesday and Thursday. Coach Tom Thibodeau said Thursday that the Knicks will wait to see how Robinson feels Friday before determining his status.

Washington is listing leading scorer Bradley Beal as questionable after missing practices on Wednesday and Thursday with a knee issue. He is averaging 23.1 ppg and shooting a career-best .520 from the floor this season. Right before the break, Beal joined Elvin Hayes as the only players in franchise history with at least 15,000 points. Beal had 18 points in the one game he played vs. the Knicks this season, the 116-105 win. That was his return from a five-game injury absence (hamstring).
