The SportsLine projection model has released its New Mexico State vs. Kentucky college basketball picks for Monday

The 16th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats will face the New Mexico State Aggies in a 2023-2024 college basketball season-opening matchup on Monday at 8 p.m. ET from Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky. The Wildcats are 15.5-point favorites in the latest New Mexico State vs. Kentucky odds from SportsLine consensus, while the over/under for total points scored is set at 141.5 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college basketball odds page).

Before making any Kentucky vs. New Mexico State picks, you need to check out the college basketball predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. It went 85-55 on all top-rated college basketball picks last season, returning more than $1,600 for $100 players. Anyone who followed it saw HUGE returns!

The model knows senior guard Antonio Reeves is among Kentucky's top players this season. The veteran of 123 career games, including 74 starts, is on the Jerry West Award preseason watch list. He was the 2023 SEC Sixth Man of the Year, and ranked second on the team with 14.4 points per game a year ago. He had a team-best 19 points per game during exhibitions.

The model has also factored in the Aggies have completely made over their roster from last season, with no fewer than 13 new faces. Among them will be 7-foot senior forward Davion Bradford, who has played previously at Wake Forest and Kansas State. Last season, he played 26 games at Wake Forest, which included five starts. His freshman season at Kansas State, he averaged 7.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Now, the model has set its sights on Kentucky vs. NMSU. We can tell you the model is leaning Over on the point total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in almost 70% of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see the model before locking in any college basketball picks.
