Some early trends are hard to overlook when handicapping these games. So far, defenses rule. Quarterback play is overwhelmingly suspect. Most offensive lines stink. Teams are skewing run-heavy and conservative (even some with $50 million QBs). Those trends point towards running back props (if you tend to skew towards Overs on player props, as I do) and game total Unders (a siren call for me).

I don't anticipate that changing much in Week 3. Some of these numbers are coming out so low on the lookahead lines, however, that if you want to go Under you'd best be jumping them on Sunday night or Monday morning (and we have a column for that, along with the picks we generate by Sunday night at SportsLine).
