The first round of the 2025 Players Championship is in the books with several of the top players in the field turning in strong performances. Two-time defending champion Scottie Scheffler shot a 3-under par 69 on Thursday, keeping him firmly in contention heading into the final three rounds. World No. 2 Rory McIlroy also played well, shooting a 5-under par 67.
