Giants vs. Titans NFL Week 1 lines, odds, picks: Proven NFL model reveals predictions for Sunday's matchup

SportsLine's projection model simulated Sunday's New York vs. Tennessee NFL Week 1 game 10,000 times and released its results

The defending AFC South champion Tennessee Titans will open the 2022 NFL season with a Week 1 home game against the New York Giants on Sunday. The Giants went 4-13 and are in the midst of a reorganization that includes new head coach Brian Daboll. Tennessee won 12 games last season despite numerous injuries that included star running back Derrick Henry missing more than half the season.

Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET at Nissan Stadium. Tennessee is a 5.5-point favorite in the latest Giants vs. Titans odds from Caesars Sportsbook, and the Over/Under for total points scored is 44. Before you make any Titans vs. Giants picks of your own, you NEED to check out the NFL predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up over $7,500 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception. The model enters the 2022 NFL season on an incredible 138-97 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season. Amazingly, it hasn't missed a top-rated pick since Week 15 last season.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past six years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick'em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is WAY UP.

The model knows Tennessee will break in new receivers, including top rookie Treylon Burks, a first-round pick out of Arkansas. The Giants' strength is running the ball, but the Titans ranked second in the NFL against the run (83.5 yards per game) last season. The offense averaged 141.3 rushing yards (fifth) despite Henry missing nine games.

The model also has taken into account that New York has a new regime and a fresh start. Running back Saquon Barkley is healthy and quarterback Daniel Jones can make plays if he gets protection. Jones threw for 2,428 yards with 10 TDs in 11 games in 2021. Barkley is eager for redemption after averaging 3.7 yards per carry last season, as he was tentative on his surgically repaired knee and a tweaked ankle.

The model has crunched the rosters and stats from both sides of the Giants vs. Titans matchup and has revealed its picks. We can tell you the model is leaning Over the total, and it also says one side of the spread cashes in well over 50 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any NFL picks.
