Fantasy Football: Making sense of four key potential RB committees
How a back fits into his team's running back committee can make or break his Fantasy value.
And before you spend a Fantasy pick on a running back who is expected to split carries in 2018, you'll want to see SportsLine Fantasy analyst Matt Franciscovich's analysis of four running back committees. Franciscovich, a former Fantasy football analyst for NFL Network, is a content strategist and writer for EA Sports/Madden NFL competitive esports. Following his advice gives you the Fantasy edge you need to dominate your draft.
One thing we can tell you: Franciscovich is higher on Miami running back Frank Gore than most, saying he has strong upside because of how he'll be used in Adam Gase's offense.
"If Miami is indeed going to use Kenyan Drake as the lightning, it'd make sense that Gore provides the thunder between the tackles," he said. "The guy is a literal battering ram. Gore's workload might get trimmed as he shares the load with Drake, but he could provide sneaky goal-line vulture value as a basically free pick late in redraft formats."
Franciscovich has also identified a back who will split carries, but is "an absolute workhorse that cannot be passed up" at his average draft position.
So which running backs who will be splitting carries can you trust? And how will some of the NFL's top running back committees shake out?
