Paying attention to average draft position (ADP) is important, but it doesn't always tell the whole story.

And before you determine which players are worth picking ahead of their ADP in 2018 Fantasy football drafts, you need to see what SportsLine Fantasy analyst Davis Mattek has to say.

Mattek has been working in the Fantasy industry since his college days and has contributed to virtually every meaningful publication and website in the industry. He's hosted podcasts with over two million listens and been nominated for several FSWA awards, including Football Writer and Best Podcast.

One player he says is worth reaching for: Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who is going off the board around the same time as players like Derek Carr and Alex Smith.

"Prescott might only generate 200 Fantasy points through the air (though the Dallas defense will likely put them in negative game scripts more often than not), but has the upside to created 50-70 points with his legs," Mattek said. "If Dak rushes for only 400 yards and four TDs, he jumps into the back end of the QB1 conversation without breaking a sweat."

Mattek has also identified a 100-target caliber player who has a 10th round ADP, but should be taken closer to the eighth round. Be sure you don't miss this high-upside option by waiting around too long.
