Fantasy Football 2021 rest of season RB rankings: The risers and fallers after a wild Week 1 at running back
What a wacky Week 1! Derrick Henry, Ezekiel Elliott, Saquon Barkley, Najee Harris, Aaron Jones, and James Robinson all finished outside of the top 25 at the RB position, while Jamaal Williams and Melvin Gordon finished inside the top five. Raheem Mostert appeared poised for a monster Fantasy performance with news that Trey Sermon was a healthy inactive, but injury once again interfered. In his stead, top waiver wire pickup Elijah Mitchell ran all over the Lions.
The surprises didn't stop there; Austin Ekeler didn't have a single target! The Texans fed Mark Ingram 26 carries! David Montgomery ran all over a vaunted Rams defense, and on the other side of the ball, Darrell Henderson played nearly every snap. Zack Moss was a surprise inactive, which allowed Devin Singletary to operate as a nearly every-down back.
Week 1 was certainly a strange one, and there were more surprises at the RB position than any other. How should you react to these changes?
