Eagles vs. Seahawks betting preview: Odds, picks, props, trends, injuries, weather and more for Monday Night Football Week 15 matchup

Before you lock in your plays for Monday's Philadelphia at Seattle game, check out our full betting preview.

Week 15's edition of Monday Night Football is an important game in the NFC playoff race as the NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles (10-3) visit the wild-card hopeful Seattle Seahawks (6-7). This might be the most difficult primetime game of the season to handicap as both starting quarterbacks, Jalen Hurts and Geno Smith, could sit due to illness (Hurts) or injury (Smith). Weather will also be a factor, which is no surprise for the Pacific Northwest in mid-December. The Eagles are currently -3 on the SportsLine consensus with a total of 45, but those numbers could both move a fair amount. This is the first-ever game flexed into the Monday night slot -- originally, the MNF matchup was to be Chiefs at Patriots.

San Francisco clinched the NFC West on Sunday with its win at Arizona, so that closes one path to a second straight postseason for Seattle, which sits ninth in the conference. Coach Pete Carroll's team has an updated season over/under win total of 8.5 (was 9 entering the season) and is +185 to make the playoffs and -225 to miss. The Seahawks close at Tennessee, vs. Pittsburgh and at Arizona, none of which have a winning record.

It sounds likely that Drew Lock will start under center for Seattle for a second straight game with Smith, the 2022 NFL Comeback Player of the Year, facing an "uphill battle" to play due to a groin injury, according to Jay Glazer.

Philadelphia has clinched a playoff spot for a third straight season with a victory and is back in first place in the NFC East because Dallas, which also had been 10-3 after spanking the visiting Eagles in Week 14, was beaten in Buffalo on Sunday to fall a half-game back. Philly would have won the East regardless had it won out, but now has a bit more wiggle room. Philadelphia is -550 to win the division. The Eagles' updated season win total is 13.5 (opened at 11.5). They had either held or shared the top record in the league every week dating back to Week 1 of 2022 but lost that Sunday with the Niners improving to 11-3.

If Hurts (+1000 to win MVP after finishing second last year) misses the game, former Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota is the Eagles' backup. He's at least a similar mobile QB, so it may not dramatically change the game plan. Mariota has seen action in one game this year, going 2-for-3 for 16 yards and rushing two times for six yards on Dec. 3 in a home blowout loss to the 49ers -- a defeat that may well cost Philadelphia the NFC's No. 1 seed.

The Eagles feel very comfortable on the West Coast. Since the beginning of 2017, when the Eagles won Super Bowl LII, Philadelphia is 5-1 out west. Its only loss in that span was was at Seattle on Dec. 3, 2017.
