Cowboys vs. Cardinals lines, picks: Proven NFL model reveals picks for Week 17 showdown

SportsLine's projection model simulated the Week 17 game between Dallas and Arizona 10,000 times and revealed its results

The Dallas Cowboys will try to keep their chances for the No. 1 seed in the NFC alive when they host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Dallas (11-4) can earn the only postseason bye in the conference by winning both of its remaining games and having Green Bay lose one of its two contests. Arizona (10-5) also will need help to win the NFC West title since it trails the Los Angeles Rams by one game with two left.

Kickoff from AT&T Stadium is set for 4:25 p.m. ET. Dallas is a 6.5-point favorite in the latest Cowboys vs. Cardinals odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over-under for total points scored is 52.

Before making any Cardinals vs. Cowboys picks of your own, you NEED to check out the NFL predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up over $7,100 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six-plus years ago. The model enters Week 17 of the 2021 season on an incredible 134-96 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick'em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is WAY UP.

The model knows Dallas is coming off its most dominant victory of the season, a 56-14 shellacking of Washington that extended its winning streak to four games. Quarterback Dak Prescott matched a season best with four touchdown passes in the rout and is one away from tying the career-high of 30 he set in 2019. Defensively, cornerback Trevon Diggs leads the NFL with 11 interceptions, while linebacker Micah Parsons is sixth in the league with 13 sacks and needs 1.5 to tie the rookie record.

The model also knows Arizona is in a downward spiral since it has lost three straight contests and five of eight after opening the season with a seven-game winning streak. Despite last week's 22-16 setback against Indianapolis, the Cardinals clinched a postseason berth for the first time since winning the NFC West in 2015. Arizona owns the best road record in the NFL at 7-1 and has won five of its last six meetings with the Cowboys.

Now, the model has set its sights on Cowboys vs. Cardinals. We can tell you it is leaning Under, and it also says one side of the spread cashes in almost 60 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any NFL picks.
