College Football Bowl parlay picks for December 31st: Model and expert plays include potential 175-1 payout
The two biggest games of the college football season to date take place on New Year's Eve. The top four teams are in action with a chance to play for a national championship on January 9th.Â
The day starts off with a matchup between 7-5 teams in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl from Nashville. The Kentucky Wildcats and Iowa Hawkeyes face off in what very well could be the lowest-scoring bowl game of the postseason. Caesars Sportsbook has Iowa as a 2-point favorite with the over/under at an incredibly low 31.
The Allstate Sugar Bowl pits the No. 5 Alabama Crimson Tide (10-2) against the Big 12 champion, the No. 9 Kansas State Wildcats (10-3). Caesars lists Alabama as a 6.5-point favorite with the total set at 56.
In the first of the semifinal playoff games, the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines (13-0) take on the No. 3 TCU Horned Frogs (12-1). Michigan is favored by 7.5-points per Caesars with the total set at 58.5.
The second semifinal and final game of the 2022 calendar year, the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, matches the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes (11-1) and the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs (13-0). Caesars has installed Georgia as a 6.5-point favorite with the over/under at 62.
Before you submit your parlays for these games, check out what the SportsLine Projection Model and SportsLine college football analyst Eric Cohen recommend for Saturday's games.
The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Over the past six-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated a stunning profit of almost $2,500 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.
Cohen finished one game above .500 with his picks on the season, including an impressive 17-8 run over the final two weeks of the season. His SEC conference parlays generated more than 11 units of profit for bettors who followed his selections. Thus far this bowl season, he's 12-12 and has been profitable for parlay bettors.
One of the bowl picks the model is high on: Michigan-TCU Over 58.5. TCU ranks sixth nationally with 40.3 points per game this season while Michigan is seventh at 40.1 PPG. Points should not be in short supply in the first CFP semifinal.
Another prediction: Cohen is taking Ohio State +6.5 vs. Georgia. "Remember the 2014 Sugar Bowl, when no one gave Urban Meyer's team a chance against No. 1 Alabama? Ezekiel Elliott ran wild, OSU won 42-35, and polished off Oregon to win the title 11 days later. Call this a hunch play."
You ABSOLUTELY need to see their bowl parlays before locking in any of your own.Â
