CFB: SEC Week 11 Projected Final Scores Revealed
Â
Â
For all the talk about how great Alabama and Georgia are, how the top two teams in the College Football Playoff rankings are on a collision course for the SEC title game and perhaps a rematch after that, there’s one team that has the opportunity and the horses to blow it all up.
Auburn, ranked No. 14 thanks to a pair of narrow losses, hosts the No. 1 Bulldogs on Saturday, and ends its regular season on Nov. 25 by hosting the No. 2 Crimson Tide.
CBS SPORTS: THE BIG TEN HAS DIVISIONAL PROBLEMS
Winning both of those games puts Auburn in the SEC title game over Alabama, and a win there over Georgia perhaps gives the Tigers the opportunity to be in the CFP as a two-loss team. The two losses, 14-6 at Clemson and 27-23 at LSU, certainly aren’t embarrassing.
Alabama has its own issues to work out, first. The Tide are banged up on the defensive side, losing a pair of linebackers -- after having already lost their top two LBs in their season opener.
CBS SPORTS:Â PROJECTIONS FOR WEEK 11 OF THE ACC
The Tide were outgained by LSU on Saturday but still won 24-10. Playing at bell-ringing, 16th-ranked Mississippi State on Saturday under the lights is no gimme.
The SportsLine Projection Model simulated college football games 10,000 times and came up with final scores and projected player statistics.Â
