Bengals vs. Ravens betting preview: Odds, picks, props, trends, injuries, weather and more for Week 10 Thursday Night Football
The AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals (4-5) and Baltimore Ravens (6-3) have played three straight high-scoring games against one another with Lamar Jackson & Co. eyeing a second consecutive season sweep to kick off Week 10 on Thursday Night Football. The teams played arguably the wildest game of the 2024 campaign thus far in Week 5 in Cincinnati, which couldn't be decided in regulation. This time, the Ravens are -6 with a total of 53 that is the highest of any this week. Weather shouldn't be a factor in Baltimore.Â
The NFL trade deadline was Tuesday afternoon, and the Ravens landed former Pro Bowl cornerback Tre'Davious White from the Rams for a 2027 seventh-round pick. In 2019 and 2020 with Buffalo, White was one of the NFL's top corners but hasn't been the same since in part due to major injuries and had been inactive for L.A.'s past four games. Last week, the Ravens also acquired receiver Diontae Johnson from Carolina. He debuted with the team in Sunday's win over Denver but wasn't targeted on just 13 snaps. Johnson certainly will see more action tonight. Â
Cincinnati made a move Tuesday in acquiring Bears backup running back Khalil Herbert for a 2025 seventh-round pick. The team needed some RB depth behind the ascendant Chase Brown with lead back Zack Moss likely out for the season after being placed on IR early this week.
This is realistically a fork in the road for the Bengals in terms of having a shot at the AFC North title, which they won in 2021 and 2022 before Baltimore claimed it last year. Cincy is three games back in the loss column of first-place Pittsburgh (6-2), and those clubs still have two matchups remaining. The Bengals are +850 to win the division and +100 to make the playoffs with No at -125. I lean No because I believe they'll lose here and then potentially do so again in Week 11 at the Chargers before Cincinnati's bye week.
Baltimore is a game back of Pittsburgh in the loss column, but the Ravens are -185 division favorites with the Steelers at +200. Those rivals haven't played yet, either, but will in Pittsburgh in Week 11 on CBS. I fully expect the Ravens to repeat in the AFC North, but the question is whether they can win in Kansas City in a playoff game -- the Chiefs are surely going to be the conference's top seed again and are currently the league's only unbeaten team.Â
That's why the season-opening last-second loss at Arrowhead Stadium for Baltimore was so crucial -- the potential head-to-head tiebreaker. Then again, the Ravens hosted the Chiefs in last season's AFC title game, and it still didn't matter as the two-time MVP Jackson fell to 1-5 against the two-time MVP Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City is currently -340 for the AFC's top seed and Baltimore is +2000. The Ravens hold a head-to-head tiebreaker with AFC East leader Buffalo, so the No. 2 seed is very doable.
