Bears vs. Packers line, picks: Advanced computer NFL model releases selections for Sunday Night Football matchup

SportsLine's projection model generated selections for Sunday's matchup between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers

The defending NFC North Division champion Green Bay Packers will try to put a disappointing opening-week loss behind them when they open their home schedule on Sunday Night Football against the Chicago Bears. The Packers (0-1) could muster little offense in a 23-7 Week 1 loss at Minnesota. The Bears (1-0), meanwhile, outlasted the San Francisco 49ers 19-10 in a rain storm at Soldier Field in Chicago last Sunday.

Kickoff from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis., is set for 8:20 p.m. ET. Green Bay is favored by 10 points at Caesars Sportsbook, while the over/under is 42. Before making any Bears vs. Packers picks, you NEED to check out the NFL predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model..

The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up more than $7,500 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception. The model enters Week 2 of the 2022 NFL season on an incredible 139-98 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past six years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94% of CBS Sports Football Pick'em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

The model knows Packers veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers is tough to stop on his home field, and had 22 touchdowns, including 20 passing, with one interception for a 113.8 rating in eight home starts last season. He also has played well on Sunday Night Football with 74 touchdowns, including 70 passing, vs. 11 interceptions for a 109.1 rating in 29 career SNF starts. He has also enjoyed a lot of success against the Bears with 61 career TD passes against them, the most versus any opponent.

The model also knows running back David Montgomery was a major reason for Chicago's win over San Francisco in the season opener. Montgomery had 50 yards from scrimmage, including 26 receiving, in Week 1. In five career games against the Packers, he has 450 yards from scrimmage (90 per game). Montgomery also had 50-plus scrimmage yards in each of his seven road games last year.

Now, it has set its sights on Bears vs. Packers. We can tell you the model is leaning Over the total, and it also says one side of the spread has ALL the value! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any NFL picks.
