Baltimore Ravens have easiest 4-game 2020 NFL schedule stretch of any team
If Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens enter December in control of their own destiny to earn home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs for the season year in a row – remember, earning the top seed is even more important this year as only that club earns a first-round bye – then their schedule sets up very nicely to accomplish that fact. It's the easiest four-game stretch of any team this year.
A Week 13 home matchup on Thursday night in early December vs. the Dallas Cowboys ends Baltimore's toughest stretch of the year, but the NFL schedule-makers sure made it up to the Ravens for the final 25 percent of the slate.
In Week 14, the Ravens visit Cleveland, and the Browns were 6-10 last season, their 12th straight losing campaign. They do have a very talented roster on paper entering 2020 – especially if Jadeveon Clowney can be signed – and have an Over-Under win total of 8.5 at William Hill sportsbook (Under -120 favorite). The Browns of course have a first-year head coach in Kevin Stefanski.
Then things really open up for Baltimore.
In Week 15, the Ravens could be the biggest against the spread favorites of the entire season when they host what looks to be an awful Jacksonville Jaguars team. The Jags come off a 6-10 season and are given the NFL's lowest 2020 win total of 4.5 (Over -130 favorite). Their coach, Doug Marrone, is on the league's hottest seat.
Then it's a home game for Baltimore against the rebuilding New York Giants and turnover machine quarterback Daniel Jones. Big Blue was 4-12 last year and has a win total of 6.5 (Under -120 favorite). New York also has a first-time head coach in Joe Judge.
The regular season concludes for the Ravens in Cincinnati, which of course had a league-worst 2-14 mark last year and will be starting a rookie quarterback (barring injury) in Joe Burrow. The Bengals have a win total of 5.5 (Over -140 favorite).
Most experts believe the Ravens and Chiefs are the class of the AFC. For a point of comparison, Kansas City's final four games are: at Miami, at New Orleans, vs. Atlanta, vs. LA Chargers. Quite a bit tougher, and the Chiefs could be underdogs for only the second time in 2020 at the Saints.Â
