Australia Women's World Cup odds 2023: Odds the Matildas win it all, make the final, advance to the knockout rounds

Australia's odds for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand

Australia Women's National Team will have the weight of the country on their shoulders when they serve as one of the host countries for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, which officially gets underway from Australia and New Zealand on Thursday, July 20. The Matildas are expected to have more than 80,000 fans in attendance when they get their campaign started against Ireland on July 20.

They have never gone past the quarterfinals in seven previous World Cups, getting knocked out at that stage in 2007, 2011 and 2015. Ticket sales have already surpassed 1 million across both countries, setting this year's World Cup up to break a global record for women's sports.

Captain Sam Kerr is the country's all-time leading international scorer with 63 goals, and she helped Chelsea clinch a fourth straight Women's Super League title and third straight FA cup. The Matildas went undefeated in the Cup of Nations in February, beating Jamaica, Spain and Czech Republic. They added a win over European champion England in April.

According to the latest 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup odds at Caesars Sportsbook, Australia are listed at +1200 (risk $100 to win $1200) to win the tournament. Australia are listed at +550 to reach the final, and the Lionesses are -200 favorites to win Group B, followed by Canada (+195), Ireland (+1400) and Nigeria (+3000).

Joining Kerr are defender Steph Catley and forward Caitlin Foord, who both play at Arsenal. Meanwhile, forward Mary Fowler and defender Alanna Kennedy play for Manchester City, and goalkeepers Lydia Williams and Mackenzie Arnold also play in the WSL.
