After an eventful U.S. Open, the PGA Tour returns to center stage with the final signature event of the 2024 season. Traveling from North Carolina to Connecticut, 72 players will take to TPC River Highlands with hopes of cashing a monster payday as the end of the season quickly draws near.

Scottie Scheffler once again leads the way on the odds board as he is listed shorter than 4-1. Experiencing a disappointing U.S. Open where he carded only four birdies on the week and failed to card a single under-par round for the first time in his professional career, the world No. 1 looks to get back on track at a course where he finished T4 a season ago.

While he aims to go for No. 6, Rory McIlroy hopes to get back on the wagon. Experiencing the most heartbreaking major loss in his career at Pinehurst No. 2, the four-time major champion plans to tee it up — as of Monday morning — and hopes to enter the winner's circle for the third time this year. Update: McIlroy withdrew on Monday evening.

Former tournament champion Xander Schauffele continues his solid play fresh off a top-10 finish at the U.S. Open and his good friend, Patrick Cantlay, appears to have found something in his game with a podium result. Tony Finau shared bronze honors with Cantlay and continues to piece his game together while Viktor Hovland, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth and Max Homa all search for a bounce-back performance this week in New England.
